A Bit About Me

My photo
Along with my daily duties as founder and head writer of HumorMeOnline.com, in 2003, I took the Grand Prize in the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest (also known as the "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night" competition). I've also been a contributor to "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and the web's "The Late Show with David Letterman". I also occupy my time writing three blogs, "Blogged Down at the Moment", "Brit Word of the Day" and "Production Numbers"...and my off-time is spent contemplating in an "on again/off again" fashion...my feable attempts at writing any one of a dozen books. I would love to write professionally one day...and by that I mean "actually get a paycheck".

Day 3: Temporary Insanity

I did not do a blog yesterday...I plead temporary insanity.  I was so annoyed by all these so-called bloggers jumping on Philip Seymour Hoffman's bandwagon of death...that I was rather appalled.  I did a rundown of some of these people's blogs...and all they did was do up a blog when something bad happened.

Oh, well...I guess some people have to grab whatever brass ring they gotta grab...as for me, I'll not try to get slathered across the airwaves due to someone's death.  It's one thing to do an honest-to-goodness homage...but another thing altogether when all you're doing it for is to try to make a name for yourself.

Sorry...just had to get that off my chest.

As far as insanity goes...I love this song...whenever I feel like I'm going a bit insane, I start singing it.  I've been singing it a lot lately.

Now go on over to "We Work for Cheese" to read all the other blogs from earlier today/yesterday.

  1. Sometimes I feel like the sole reason some people maintain their Facebook accounts is to post links for tragic news stories, and to say "RIP" to the latest dead celebrity.

I've never heard this song before. Thanks for broadening my horizons. :)

  2. Philip Seymour Hoffman grew up here in Rochester... just another tragic loss from a descent into drugs. Humor blogging is a much safer pastime. Enjoyed the video clip! Stay sane out there!
